Our windy weather continues out there as our first Santa Ana of the season winds down; winds will be on the decrease today, before we transition back to an onshore flow into Monday. Temperatures will remain near-normal this weekend before cool and unsettled weather returns towards the middle of next week. Expect partly cloudy skies today with light and variable winds as highs top out near 60 degrees. Monday looks like our transition day as low pressure deepens off the West Coast and the onshore flow strengthens. Westerly winds increasing to 10-20 mph with highs in the upper 50s. Clouds and winds will increase later Tuesday morning as low pressure approaches from the northwest, with showers developing late. Rain will overspread the region by Wednesday into Thursday with gusty west winds and cooler temperatures. The snow level will start out above 8,000 feet but could drop to around 7,000ish feet Wednesday night, before showers taper off Thursday afternoon. Rainfall amounts are still looking to be around a half inch in most areas, with locally 1 inch on the lower coastal slopes. A few inches of snow are also possible, but mainly above 8,000 feet. Drier conditions are anticipated by the end of the week, with gradually warmer temperatures into next weekend.
